Golden Gate Bridge

Golden Gate Bridge

I made this photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge from Marine Drive close to Torpedo Wharf. I parked and walked all the way to the bridge from here. It is much further than it appears! The bridge is so massive that it distorts your perspective and you think it isn’t as far, but then you just keep walking and walking before you finally get there.

The huge rusty chain in the foreground looked interesting and I don’t recall seeing this angle including the chain and rocks before.

The shot was taken a little before sunset and the sun was low and coloring the hills on the opposite side to give them some nice definition.
